BEAUMONT PIED DE BOEUF
Grew up on an uneven piece of Land at the head of the Ire valley, it has several interesting sights:
A 15th. century tower visible as one enters the village from the south; the remains of the former castle.
La Faverie (private property), a lovely fortified manor-house dating from the 15th. - 16th. centuries, surrounded by a moat.
A romanesque church semi-circular arch of the portal crowned by three sculptured human heads. Beautiful pieta in wood.
CHATEAU DU LOIR

DISSAY SOUS COURCILLON
A fortified castle (private property) with four large round towers stood at Dissay sous Courcillon. It was surrounded by a wall and ditches and the south side was protected by a
draw-bridge. The only tower which stands today is the south-east one. The north-east and north-west towers have been transformed into a terrace.
The 12th century church possesses a noteworthy romanesque chancel and the two naves date from the 13th and 14th centuries. The old priory near the church can be visited during the summer.
FLEE
This village situated in the Dinan valley apart from a church of various styles but romanesque in origin, possesses several large country houses within its boundaries.
Several private castles are settled around the village and the chapel Sainte Cecile overlooking the Loir valley presents beautiful retables and is used for concerts during the summer.
JUPILLES

LAVERNAT
This small village situated on the edge of the forest of Bercé is known for its chesnut "the Nouzillard" and the start of numerous and beautiful pedestrian walks.

LUCEAU
Situated on a hill, the village is grouped around a church, dragons have been carved out of the beams of this romanesque church which was revuilt in the 14th and 16th centuries.
One carries the date 1521.

VOUVRAY SUR LOIR
Vouvray sur Loir is situated on the north bank of the Loir at the foot of a slope where wine-cellars have benn cut out of the ground. The church dedicated to St Martin, is for the most part
romanesque in structure, and has been considerably altered by the addition of two chapels in the 17th century. In particular an altar, datinf from 1657, should be noted.
You can also visit the beautiful "mill Pousset" and its exhibition room.
